Steel Strapping
JEM strapping is available in a wide range of types, sizes, gauges and finishes to accommodate your strapping requirements. Our edge conditioned strapping ensures a safe, rounded edge that is problem-free during application. Our high tensile and regular duty strapping conforms to Government ASTM specifications.
All JEM Hi Tensile strapping is AAR rated and stamped.

Coil winding:
JEM steel strapping is coiled in either an oscillated pattern or into the width of the strap (ribbon wound).
Oscillated: The steel strapping is wound in a tight uniform pattern to a coil width between 2 1/2" to 2 7/8".
Ribbon: The steel strapping is wound onto itself so that the width of the coil is the same as the strap.
Finishes:
All finishes are treated with a hard wax coating. This lubrication allows the strapping to flow smoothly in automated machines, tools and around corners of products.
 |
Painted and Waxed Steel Strapping: Painted strapping typically available in grey/black, other colours are available. Hard baked on paint on both sides along with a wax coating. Please contact us for more information.
|

 |
UnPainted and Waxed Regular Duty Steel Strapping: A low carbon product for many general applications. This is a special product for use where paint is not desired. Unpainted strap is an economical alternative that offers similar characteristics as painted strap with less cost. In some cases unpainted strapping will out perform painted strapping. Please contact us for more information
|

 |
Zinc/Epoxy coated Strapping:
Commonly used for prolonged outside storage, this finish offers greater rust resistance than regular painted material. Product is typically used for items that will be outdoors for long periods of time. Please contact us for more information
|

 |
Pro Zinc Silver:
This product has superior anti-corrosive properties as compared to black paint and zinc epoxy coated strapping. With the special manufacturing process of this product there is no zinc/paint residue to clog up feedwheel tools. This is a superior corrosion resistant product that can be used in most strapping applications. Over time this product will give you the most value for your purchasing dollar. Pro Zinc Silver works exceedingly well in all tools and automated systems. JEM Flex Pro Zinc is a cost effective heavy duty strap alternative to high tensile. Please contact us for more information.

Packaging:
Oscillated wound steel strapping coils are shrouded. Skids are normally shroud wrapped with cardboard for protection in transit. Ribbon wound steel strapping is normally packaged bare coiled onto the skid.
Types of Steel Strapping :
Regular Duty: Manufactured to meet rigid quality specifications and close tolerances. JEM Regular Duty steel strapping is ideal for all general applications and is available in a number of different finishes, widths and gauges.
Pro Zinc Silver: Pro Zinc Silver strapping has superior rust resistance to Black Steel Strapping and Zinc Eppoxy. Available in various widths and guages.
High Tensile: High Tensile steel strapping is manufactured for optimum results in every application. Cold rolled steel of a high carbon and manganese analysis is heat treated to ensure uniform tensile and elongation characteristics. High tensile is a product that combines high strength and shock resistance for many applications such as unitizing compressed bales, securing heavy steel coils and open top car and trailer loading.
All of our regular and high tensile steel strapping exceeds ASTM steel specifications and all high tensile strapping is AAR rated and stamped.
All above product available painted, unpainted and waxed and Pro-Zinc gold.
